Spectacular Honey Moon Time-Lapse - Wilderness Sessions - Earth Unplugged
Published on Oct 8, 2015 BBC Earth Unplugged
"This stunning time-lapse medley has been captured of the sun, storms and stars passing over three distinct rock locations in the southwestern US.
The film was shot at three locations: in Monument Valley, Arizona, and at the Trona Pinnacles and Red Rock Canyon in California.
The glowing fireball resembling a meteor at 2:02 was a giant "honey moon" passing in time-lapse across the sky.
The film is actually a series of thousands of still photographs, over 10,000 in total, painstakingly stitched together by film-makers Gavin Heffernan and Harun Mehmedinović.
Shot and produced by Gavin Heffernan (SunchaserPictures.com) and Harun Mehmedinović (Bloodhoney.com)"
