How to Avoid Tourist Trap Restaurants in Nepal
video upload by Karl Rock
"I got sick of eating bad food at tourist traps in Nepal, so I went out to find authentic Nepali food. I'll show you what I found, and I'll give you tips on how you to can discover home-cooked authentic food while travelling in Nepal and India.
What I found was Khaja Ghars (Snack Houses). They serve fresh homemade food, just like your mum would make. They're the same dhabas in India. As you travel around Nepal, make sure to eat at Khaja Ghars to avoid the disappointing food that many tourist restaurants serve.
Ramesh and Renu's "Bhedasingh Khaja Ghar" (भेडासिंङ्ग खाजा घर) is on Google Maps https://goo.gl/maps/Afo4tZyj9xqka8t49. Go eat there and leave a review.
I've also featured them on my blog "The Best Cheap Eats in Kathmandu" https://blog.karlrock.com/the-best-ch...."

Man Documents Growing Out His Hair For 2 Years In The Peace Corps
"Aloha everybody! I'm blown away by the love everyone is showing for my video - you guys are the best! Thanks for the nice comments and even the negative ones from the haters. It's always cool to see people's perspective so I appreciate that. I see everyone has lots of questions and not sure I can get to all of them, so I'm just gonna write some notes down here:
1. I didn't touch my hair or facial hair at all for 2 years after I shaved it all off. Saved a lot on shaving cream and haircuts!
2. This was filmed in Madagascar; the fourth largest island in the world with some of the kindest people you'll ever meet.
3. Some highlights of my service: I taught English to about 500 middle and high schoolers during my two years and raised $3,000 to buy 11 computers for my community among other things. Also cooked a lot of pancakes and pooped in a hole.
4. Most of the shots were taken during the school breaks and weekends proving that it is possible to work hard and play even harder ;p
5. Last but not least, aloha to all my Hawaiian braddahs and sistahs out there. Hilo represent!!! \m/"
